It was named the most authentic Irish pub in the world

In 2016, Kevin Barry’s Irish Pub was named the world’s “Most Authentic Irish Pub” by the Irish Pubs Global Federation. Kevin Barry’s was chosen the winner out of over 1,000 Irish pubs from around the world, including pubs located in Ireland.

There is live Irish music every night

Any night of the week, you can step inside Kevin Barry’s “Listening Room” to see live traditional Irish music. For over 35 years, Kevin Barry’s Irish Pub has offered nightly music by world renowned troubadours. Check out Kevin Barry’s event calendar to see who’s playing this week.

The building is packed with Savannah history

Kevin Barry’s Irish Pub has been open since 1980, but its location has a history dating back to the 1700s. Before the property had any building developments, it was an empty lot originally owned by King George III. In 1854, a warehouse was built on the property, which later became a dry goods store, a steel company and, eventually, the beloved Irish pub it is today.

They have a menu packed with authentic Irish dishes

If you’ve got a hankering for a hearty Irish meal, you’ll be happy to know that Kevin Barry’s menu includes authentic Irish dishes like beef stew, bangers and mash, and corned beef and cabbage. Don’t forget to pair your dish with a pint of Irish beer!

You can host an event there

Kevin Barry’s Irish Pub has a second floor optimized for events like wedding rehearsals, reunions, holiday parties and other social functions. The venue space, which can accommodate up to 150 people, includes a private bar and enclosed balcony that looks over the Savannah River.
