KEIM &HISTORIC SAVANNAH FOUNDATION TEAM UP TO HOST INFORMATIVE LUNCH AND LEARN EVENT
Sep 5, 2019
The community is encouraged to join Keim and HSF at either breakfast or lunch on Thursday, Sept. 5 at HSFs offices, 321 E. York St., for a program and a discussion on hand-crafted mineral silicate paint finishes. The presentation, which is slightly interactive and participant-friendly, will focus on finishes that chemically bond to concrete, to brick and stone masonry, precast units, CMU block, and mechanically bond to previously-painted mineral-based substrates. Sustainable silicate coatings are mineral-based finishes that provide an unusual combination of superior weather protection, long service life and fire safety with a unique permanent color guarantee. The one-hour programs start at 9 a.m. (breakfast) or 12 p.m. (lunch) and are free to attend. However, each session is limited to only 20 participants so anyone interested is urged to reserve a spot now by RSVPing to HSF Chief Advancement Officer Nadine Mooers at [email protected]. All providers who attend will earn 1.0 learning unit.
