The Jason Dahlke Adventure Race is a unique combination of checkpoint finding and physical challenges during your choice of a 4-hour long course (10 a.m.) or a 2-hour short course race (noon).
You can expect 4-6 miles trekking; 12-15 miles biking; 1-2 miles kayaking. The short course does not include kayaking. Racers are in 2-person teams and will meet miscellaneous challenges spread throughout the course.
The event is open to the public. It commemorates the life of SSG Dahlke, an Army Ranger killed in Afghanistan in 2009. Besides the entertainment and sporting fun, it raises money for the Sua Sponte Foundation which supports the Savannah-area 1/75 Army Rangers and their families.
