Dog-Friendly Restaurants

Savannah's Historic District is packed with dog-friendly places to eat. On River Street, check out Huey's Restaurant, Olympia Cafe or District Smokehouse for dog-friendly outdoor dining. In Savannah's iconic City Market, enjoy a cocktail at Belford's Savannah Seafood & SteaksCha Bella, Leopold's Ice Cream and the Coffee Fox are great eateries to check out along the Broughton Street corridor. In the surrounding Historic District, the outside seating found at Crystal Beer Parlor, Hitch, and Tacos & Tequila also welcome dogs. In the Starland District, take the family on an outing to the food truck park setup at Starland Yard or enjoy a couple of craft brews at Two Tides Brewing. Other dog-friendly restaurants in nearby Savannah include Tubby's Tank House Thunderbolt, The Wyld Dock Bar and Love's Seafood. If you're on Tybee Island, your pup is welcome at Huc-a-poos Bites and Booze and Sea Wolf Tybee.

There's no shortage of dog-friendly things to do in Savannah! Many walking tours welcome well-mannered pets, including ghost tours, history tours and architectural tours. Oliver Bentley's Historic Dog Walk Tour is even designed specifically with your pup in mind! Take a scenic stroll through downtown's Colonial Park Cemetery or admire blooming azaleas at Bonaventure Cemetery. In the Moon River District, Wormsloe State Historic Site and Skidaway Island State Park offer scenic walking trails with educational markers. Fort Pulaski Historic Site welcomes leashed pets inside the fort and on the grounds.  Dogtopia of Thunderbolt offers daycare services, boarding and spa services for furry loved-ones.  The space promotes socialization, safety and exercise for them, allowing dedicated downtime for "two-legged animals." For the more adventurous dog, many kayak and paddleboard outfitters allow experienced water dogs, too!

It should come as no surprise that many of Savannah's shops welcome dogs, too! Savannah Bee Company on Broughton Street and the aptly-named Black Dog General Store on River Street are both dog-friendly. Browse incredible antiques and collectibles at Jere's Antiques on Bay Street. If your pup is small enough to carry, sample pralines at Savannah's Candy Kitchen. Pick up decadent bath products at Nourish or shop for a new puppy-approved outfit at Custard Boutique.
