As with many things in Savannah, The Rail Pub has a sordid past. The pub has been everything from a boarding house to a brothel since its opening in 1890. Located in what used to be known as Savannah Georgia’s own “Red Light” district, the Rail holds true to its roots and is still a “house of pleasure” today.
Yes, some may call this a 'dive bar' but it is a classy one at that! Great staff, helps you through some of their options and traditions. Great juke box. Free peanuts.

“Liberal bar where conservatives are not welcome”
This establishment refuses to serve conservatives. Staff overheard us praising Republican Gov. Kemp and proceeded to bar us from this establishment permanently.
