A World-Class Facility in a Bucket-List City
Opening in early 2024, the Savannah Convention Center (SCC) expansion will double its current size and capacity, drawing new business in the U.S. and worldwide. With more flexible space, this architecturally stunning waterfront complex will be able to attract a wider variety of citywide meetings and conventions to Savannah.
The expansion will double exhibit hall space to 200,000 square feet, add a 58-foot-wide hangar door, a new 40,000-square-foot ballroom, 15 meeting rooms, a 900-space parking garage, additional outdoor space and a new facility entrance with an all-glass facade.
Large citywide groups don’t have to venture far for true Southern-style cuisine when meeting at the SCC. The Center’s award-winning catering team can provide services that span the full spectrum of culinary needs and accommodate conventions of thousands of attendees.

Visit Savannah’s comprehensive convention transportation package for qualifying groups was designed to quickly and easily move attendees between conference hotels and the Savannah Convention Center — and it’s all provided at Visit Savannah's expense.
Connecting the Savannah Convention Center to the city’s River Street, the Savannah Belles Ferry runs every 20 minutes and can transport attendees across the river in just three minutes.

The Perks of Planning a Citywide in Savannah
Provided at the Visit Savannah's expense, Passkey housing is available to citywide conventions contracting 600 or more room nights on peak for a minimum of two nights.
For citywide conventions contracting 600 or more room nights on peak for a minimum of two nights, additional services may be provided through our welcome program, including:
- High-resolution conference logo displayed on a flat-screen monitor at the Airport Visitor Welcome Desk
- Savannah welcome ribbons with the group and/or event’s name made and worn by front-line staff at the hotels, the SCC, and by transportation providers in the convention transportation buses and ferries
- Savannah welcome banners with your group and/or event’s name hung and seen by attendees as they approach the SCC
- An information table with maps and visitor guides near registration at the Center
